MADONNA DI CAMPIGLIO
Madonna di Campiglio, is a discreet and elegant village at 1550 metres in the beautiful valley between the Brenta Dolomites and the glaciers of Adamello and Presanella. Today it is certainly the number one amongst the Italian ski regions and one of the most important in the Alps.
The variety of its alpine environments guarantees in winter the possibility to start and come back to the centre of the village without taking off your skis, innumerable kilometres of ski slopes of differing complexity up to 2600 metres.
Today the Ski Area has 57 ski lifts and has developed 150 km of ski slopes with a capacity of more than 31,000 persons per hour, 50,000 m2 of snowparks, 40 km for Nordic skiing and the connection, by skis, with Pinzolo and Folgarida – Marilleva
Madonna di Campiglio is famous for its high society life but it only takes a few steps from the centre to reach a world of lakes, little valleys, streams, alpine summer pastures and mountain huts.
The 50.000 hectares of the Adamello-Brenta Natural Park and the 450km of mountain paths offer incredible splendour to those who walk or ride a mountain-bike in the freshness of the fir woods and the enchantment of the larch woods. The Brenta Dolomites belong to the nine Dolomite mountain ranges recognised on June 26 2009 as UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE sites.
